Queen City Hustle: Culture Initiative 5th Year Anniversary Show

The Queen City creative collective, the “Culture Initiative” celebrated 5 years of innovative cultural engagements in Charlotte by throwing an “Altered Reality” art show & concert. Queen City Hustlers, Joel Andrew Tracy and Arthur Brothers head up the Culture Initiative which celebrates grassroots art & music by way of kick-ass shows and events. “Altered Reality” at the Neighborhood Theater in NODA was no different. It was awesome.

My entry for the show was a reanimated set of vintage speakers found at the PTA Thrift Shop in Durham. I fused the two speakers together, sculpted a nose and mouth, salvaged some toy parts, spray painted & rendered some details to create a mutated Master Blaster with style.

I hooked up a little wall mount so you can hang this bad boy up in the study.
