Culture Initiative 6th Anniversary Show: Frames

CI has been building on an vision of a unified cultural Charlotte, challenging artists with unique themes for showcases and drawing the community together to celebrate art of all forms. For this years showcase artists were given the challenge of Frames, where they are to find unique framing that aligns with their work.

Along with a 80+ artist showing their visual work, they showcased large scale installations, an interactive photobooth installation, contemporary dance, fashion, a merchant market, a pop-up cafe, and a very smooth soundtrack to bring it all together. From Jazz to funk, onto hip hop and a little dance party we bring you Groove 8, Cesar Comanche, and Justin Aswell. The Culture Initiative goes hard and represents North Carolina culture in the Queen City properly.
